Overview: The Manager of Commercial Operations will support and
enhance the effectiveness of our field teams, including Sales,
Medical, and Market Access. This role will play a critical part in
optimizing field operations, supporting execution, and ensuring
alignment with corporate goals in a fast-paced environment. This is
a hybrid role with several days per week in the Burlington, MA
office. Key Responsibilities: These may include but are not limited
to: Platforms and Technology: Lead the development, implementation,
and oversight of tools and associated roadmaps that support field
operations. Oversee the CRM system (Veeva) and collaborate across
functions to manage capacity planning, drive innovation
initiatives, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
Administer the vehicle reimbursement program (Motus), regularly
updating leadership on budget status and industry benchmarks. Field
Enablement & Strategy: Serve as a consultative partner in the sales
planning and execution process, including the evaluation of
territory size and structure, and ownership of incentive
compensation (IC) design and administration. Address and resolve
data inquiries from the field and internal partners, delivering
timely and effective solutions. Collaborate with external partners
to optimize processes and provide necessary support. Performance
Tracking & Reporting: Conduct analysis of key performance
indicators (KPIs) related to field team productivity and
engagement, working proactively with field leadership to establish
routine reporting and deliver ad-hoc analyses. Create dashboards
and reports that deliver actionable insights to the field team, and
manage the regular review, update, or retirement of low-utilization
reports. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales,
Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Access, Training, and Compliance
to ensure alignment on field initiatives in accordance with
regulatory standards. Function as the liaison between field teams
and headquarters to facilitate seamless communication and prompt
issue resolution. Training, Onboarding, and Roster Management:
Partner with Field Training and HR to deliver onboarding and
ongoing training for new field team members. Oversee management of
field rosters to maintain accurate system access, user hierarchies,
and IC eligibility. Administer credentialing for the field sales
team to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. 3-5 years of experience
in field operations, sales operations, or commercial operations in
the biotech/pharmaceutical industry. Strong experience with field
CRM systems (Veeva CRM preferred), analytics tools (Tableau/Power
BI), and MS Office Suite. Experience with incentive compensation
and administration. Familiarity with common healthcare datasets
(Claims, Specialty Pharmacy, 867, 852). Exceptional project
management, analytical, and communication skills. Travel
Requirements: Up to 20%, including field visits and headquarters
meetings. The expected salary range for this position based on
greater Boston, MA location is $110,000-$145,000. Actual salary pay
will be based on multiple factors, including geographic location,
experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted
