Job Description:
Pioneer Valley Equine Associates is seeking a skilled Veterinary
Technician who is passionate about providing exceptional care and
service in the field of equine health. You will be joining a team
that values comprehensive, holistic approaches to preventive care,
treatment, and rehabilitation of horses. Our practice serves a
diverse equine community across Western Massachusetts, delivering
services that ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients
and their owners. As a Veterinary Technician at our facility, you
will play a crucial role in our day-to-day operations, assisting
veterinarians in various medical procedures, managing patient care,
and contributing to our practice's mission of compassionate
veterinary service. Assist veterinarians in the examination and
treatment of horses, including the preparation and handling of
horses during procedures Perform routine laboratory tests and
diagnostic imaging Administer medications as prescribed by the
veterinarian Maintain accurate patient records and manage follow-up
communications Provide nursing care and emergency first aid to
patients as needed Educate clients on preventive healthcare and
condition management Ensure the cleanliness and readiness of the
veterinary facility and equipment Strong horse handling skills and
familiarity with equine behavior Ability to perform routine
laboratory and diagnostic procedures Excellent communication skills
for interacting with horse owners and team members Capability to
manage time efficiently and multitask effectively Detail-oriented
with strong organizational skills Medical Insurance Dental

Technician (CVT) preferred Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in
the state of Massachusetts or eligible for licensure
