Reconstruction Technical Sales Director (Northeast)

will serve as a critical leader in the Orthopaedic Reconstruction
portfolio, supporting launch execution, technical excellence, and
commercial growth across the reconstruction business. What will you
be doing? As a Reconstruction Technical Sales Director, you will
collaborate closely with Commercial Marketing and Sales Leadership
to drive implementation of launch and sales execution plans across
the Reconstruction portfolio. You’ll play a vital role in the
Limited Market Release and Full Market Release of new products,
lead account conversions, and support the execution of
commercialization roadmaps. In this role, you will also provide
strategic direction and development support to Reconstruction Sales
Representatives and 1099 business partners. Acting as a key
technical resource, you will ensure the highest level of clinical
and procedural support while fostering strong relationships with
surgeons, operating room staff, and hospital administration. What
will you need to be successful? Your pathway to success is rooted
in your deep technical expertise within the Orthopaedic
Reconstruction space and your ability to lead through influence and
collaboration. You’ll be responsible for guiding and educating
customers and internal teams on product utilization and procedure
best practices, ensuring that SmithNephew’s technologies deliver
optimal outcomes for both clinicians and patients. • Strategic
leaders who can execute launch strategies, build team capability,
and support consistent commercial excellence across multiple

and can confidently support complex cases while providing education
and guidance to surgeons and staff. • Relationship builders who

Leaders (KOLs), and field sales teams to drive sustained growth. •

patient outcomes through innovation and collaboration. What will
you need? • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • Proven
experience in the medical device industry with a focus on sales,
marketing, technical sales support, or sales management •
Demonstrated leadership and mentorship experience within a sales
organization • Strong communication, collaboration, and
problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, evolving environment • Deep
understanding of OR protocols, surgeon interaction, and clinical
procedures within orthopaedic reconstruction • Experience with
P&L responsibility or strong business acumen preferred •
Ability to travel frequently within designated territory (2–4
overnights per month) with occasional national travel for events
and conferences • Must successfully complete SmithNephew’s
credentialing process for healthcare facility access (which may

range for this position is $185,000 USD annually and the
compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s qualifications.
