If you are someone who's looking to bring innovation, contribute ideas and play a part in renewing the contract management organization we want to hear from you!-Job Purpose-The Contract Manager supports in reinforcing value enhancing contractual partnering arrangements for National Grid. In particular the Contract Manager monitors and analyzes the spend on all contracts and helps prioritize opportunities and provides contract reporting to various senior stakeholders within National Grid on the performance of suppliers and the status of contracts. within-US Procurement.-Experience should include; supplier relationship management, commercial negotiations, systems and analytics, market supplier development and a clear, working knowledge of current industry trends.-U.S. Procurement is structured strategically into four category teams: Electric Services and Materials, Gas Distribution and Transmission, Wholesale Networks and Corporate Indirects. Specific teams within US Procurement looking for individuals include: Construction Services (Electric & Gas) & Materials (Electric). The Contract Management team supports all four category teams. --Key Accountabilities--Provide the commercial support on supplier contracts, providing commercial analysis across a range of contracts as required to maximize the efficiency and value of contracts.Perform cost analysis reviews, identifying and monitoring cost saving opportunities across both the direct and indirect cost base driving internal and external cost reductions.Manage the policies and processes for compliance and audit; ensuring delivery by suppliers and internal stakeholders of the policies and proceduresDelivery of the Supplier/Contractor Performance and Monitoring process, to enable the contracts managers to report on contract performance to the key suppliers. Produce, maintain, analyze and report upon monthly Supplier KPI Performance Packs and benchmarking data to drive overall performance improvementProvide technical support to users on data and associated processes.Supports the governance arrangements for supplier contracts (contract awards, extensions)Works with procurement team to plan effective implementation/deployment of new contracts - working closely with all key stakeholdersWork with Finance, category teams and service customers to ensure contract data integrity & security across National Grid systems to comply with statutory requirements and meet internal policies and proceduresEnsure the publication of relevant Contract Management communications material both internally and externally, with specific responsibility for content management Ensure the suppliers invoice in accordance with the contracts rates tablesQualifications-Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S) required; in supply chain, finance or business preferred. C.P.S.M or equivalent certifications preferred. MBA, MS preferred.Required 2+ years' experience in contract negotiations and contract management. Strong working knowledge of SAP, Ariba & P2P systems preferred.Successful completion of professional negotiation coursework preferred An equivalent combination of education and extensive subject matter expertise along with contract management experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education requirements listed above.The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, specifically in communications across a multi-national organization.
