Job DescriptionAbout the role:As Research Investigator/Sr. Research
Associate, you will join the Cell Therapy Manufacturing
Technologies team which sits within the Process Development team.
We are a team of engineers and biologists focused on the
development of novel technologies to automate and optimize cell
therapy manufacturing across Takeda's multiple cell therapy
products. You will will work with more senior scientists to assess
novel technologies for integration into the Cell Therapy
manufacturing process. You will also take responsibility to prepare
study protocols, reports and transfer protocols to other teams.How
you will contribute:
- Execute device and process optimization experiments
- Work with more senior scientists to execute complex device
evaluation and optimization experiments
- Work with scientists to improve the manufacturing processes
across Takeda's broad cell therapy product line
- Author notebook entries and reports on experiment results and
conclusions
- Present project updates at team and department meetings
- Author protocols and help with protocol transfer activities in
and out of the Mfg. Tech teamMinimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- To Be Considered for the Senior Research Associate Role:
- Bachelors degree in biology, engineering or related
pharmaceutical science and 2+ years relevant industry
experience
- Masters degree in biology, engineering or related
pharmaceutical science
- To Be Considered for the Research Investigator Role:
- Bachelors degree in biology, engineering or related
pharmaceutical science and 5+ years relevant industry
experience
- Masters degree in biology, engineering or related
pharmaceutical science and 3+ years relevant industry
experience
- In Addition:
- Must have experience in mammalian non-adherent and adherent
cell culture and execution of in vitro assays relevant for several
types of immune cells or stem cells.
- Proficient in standard aseptic cell culture techniques
- Proficient understanding of the cell therapy manufacturing
process and associated biological principles
- Benefit to have:
- Experience in developing cell therapy or biological products
and gene transfer technologies/processes.
- Experience with automated cell therapy processing tools
including stirred tank bioreactors.
- Experience with writing of technical reports and
documents.
- Engineering background associated with cell manufacturing tool
development
- Experience with stirred tank or similar technology
bioreactors
