define and drive AI user experience maturity across PTC segments
and products to bring a cohesive and familiar AI user experience to
our customers. As a member of the Atlas AI UX Team, you will lead
the creation and governance of AI UX patterns, guidelines, and best
practices that product teams can adopt to accelerate delivery and
ensure familiarity for our users. You’ll collaborate
cross-functionally with product managers, designers, researchers,
and engineering to translate user insights, as well as industry and
competitive signals into reusable AI interaction models. You will
work closely with other designers by providing design direction and
guidance, and steward cross?product alignment. As a visible
champion of AI UX, you’ll educate teams, codify standards, and
guide adoption across the portfolio. Above all, you pair curiosity
with rigorous systems thinking to make complex, intelligent
experiences feel approachable and trustworthy. Responsibilities:
Areas of focus: Est. Time 30%- AI UX Strategy: Shape the way that
PTC’s products evolve as they add AI capabilities by defining a
cross-product vision, principles, and strategy for AI UX. 40%-
Cross ? Product Patterns & Guidelines: Perform user research,
comparative and competitive analysis and translate findings and
insights into documentation of reusable AI UX patterns for internal
teams. Participate in design critiques, reviews, and working
sessions with product, UX and engineering teams to gather feedback
and align on shared goals. 20%- Design Direction & Enablement:
Provide actionable direction, critique, and hands?on guidance to
designers implementing the patterns; review work for consistency
and usability; unblock teams with artifacts, examples, and
reference implementations. 10% -Team Culture: Engage in team
rituals, mentorship opportunities, and design-related events.
Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team
culture. Skills and Knowledge: Ability to perform in-depth
comparative & competitive analysis to identify best?in?class AI UX
pattern, learn from them, and reflect those insights more broadly
within the PTC product development community. User research
skillset (planning, partnering, synthesizing) to validate AI
interactions and inform pattern decisions. Strong written & visual
communication—able to codify patterns/guidelines clearly, with
examples that teams can apply. Requirements gathering & writing for
when you need to inform and influence partner teams and execution
of detailed design work (e.g. PTC’s design systems team and
others). Design direction & coaching—provide clear guidance to
designers contributing to cross?product AI UX work. Curiosity:
you’re a student of the software space and keep pace with broader
application design trends as well as emerging technical
capabilities that can unlock better design outcomes for our users
(e.g. AI platform capabilities, etc). Expertise designing rich
interactive applications for web and/or desktop; proficiency with
modern design systems. Self?starter with strong organizational
skills; excels at orchestrating cross?team work and driving
decisions. Experience: Led cross?product UX initiatives or
standards programs (e.g., pattern libraries, guidelines,
governance) in a large software product organization. Translated
research and competitive insights into reusable patterns and
authored high?quality documentation/playbooks. Directed designers
at varying levels; partnered effectively with Product, Engineering,
and Data/AI teams to land complex work. Drove measurable UX
improvements (consistency, task success, adoption, satisfaction)
via pattern adoption. Experience in enterprise SaaS and complex
information?rich workflows. Experience contributing to a shared
design system or UX guild/standards body; workshop facilitation and
enablement skills. Track record of designing for emerging
technologies is a plus. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree
in HCI/UX, Human Factors, Interaction Design, or related field—or
equivalent practical experience. 8 years in UX/Product Design with
3 years leading cross?product or design?system?level initiatives.

PTC carefully considers a wide variety of factors when determining
compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position
is between $130,000 - 170,000. The salary range reflects a
good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual
compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills,
qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, candidates
may be eligible for a performance-based bonus. Employees also have
the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee
