Job Description Job Description The Data Analytics Business Analyst will serve as a critical link between business stakeholders and the analytics team, ensuring that data-driven solutions align with organizational goals. This role focuses on understanding business needs, translating them into actionable data requirements, and supporting the development and implementation of analytics solutions that drive insight and decision-making. Major Duties and Responsibilities Weight Description Essential 35% Analytics Project Leadership - Lead multiple analytics initiatives using project management methodologies to deliver dashboards, reports, and data science solutions while coordinating with cross?functional teams and maintaining documentation throughout the project lifecycle. 35% Requirements Gathering & Solution Design - Identify and document business requirements for analytics projects, translate them into technical specifications for data models, ETL processes, and visualizations, and facilitate user acceptance testing to ensure accuracy and usability. 10% Process Improvement & Optimization - Analyze existing data workflows to recommend efficiency and quality improvements, collaborating with business units and vendors to resolve data issues and optimize reporting processes. 10% Integration & Data Governance - Evaluate analytics solution integrations to ensure system compatibility, consistency, and adherence to data governance standards. 10% Analytics Project Contributions - Support analytics initiatives by writing basic SQL queries, performing exploratory data analysis, validating data outputs, and creating ad?hoc reports and visualizations to inform business decisions. Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Knowledge and Skills Experience Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience. Education/Certifications/Licenses A college degree; Information Technology, Computer Science or related field. Interpersonal Skills A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers. Other Skills COMPETENCIES: Must be at least 18 years of age. Favorable Background, Credit, Criminal, Bondability, and Reference Checks required. (Motor Vehicle check dependent on position.) Travel to other branches or locations may be required depending on position. Significant experience in working with application development platforms (e.g., SQL, VB.Net, SharePoint, etc.). Ability to analyze technical issues in order to recommend, develop and/or implement strategies and achieve objectives. Significant experience in communicating complex technical issues to non-technical audiences. Significant experience in problem resolution including determining root cause, scope and scale of issues. Effective skill resolving conflicting requests and meeting changing requirements. Significant experience in leading collaborative work teams. Project experience as either a Product Owner, functional/technical lead, or SME. ADA Requirements Physical Requirements Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of travel by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Working Conditions Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled private office with minimal noise Mental and/or Emotional Requirements Must be able to perform job functions independently and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to plan and direct the work activities of self and others. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
