HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST Position Summary The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for handling all aspects of full cycle recruiting including sourcing, screening, consulting with hiring managers, and developing and executing recruiting strategies, as well as supporting a variety of HR-related duties in the areas of onboarding, benefits administration, performance management and employment law compliance. The Human Resources Specialist provides excellent customer service and maintains a high level of discretion and confidentiality. Qualified candidates with diverse racial, cultural, multilingual, religious, class, and/or gender background and experiences are strongly encouraged to apply._ Primary Responsibilities: Develop and execute innovative recruiting strategies to build and maintain a sourcing pipeline to attract diverse and qualified talent for the Center's current and future hiring needs. Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and collect information and qualifications regarding open positions. Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details. Conduct phone screens to ensure candidates' skills and abilities match position requirements. Coordinate interview schedules with hiring managers. Develop and maintain applicant tracking system. Follow up with candidates throughout the interview, hiring and onboarding process. Set up, schedule and participate in new hire orientation and serve as project manager for our new hire onboarding process, ensure all steps of the onboarding checklist are completed. Liaison with IT for new employee accounts, systems, laptop, phone set up. Conduct CORI background checks, I-9 filing and record maintenance. Assist with planning and execution of regular employee performance reviews. Provide backup coverage for Payroll. Assist with credentialing processes. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies. Other special projects as assigned. Education and Experience: At least 2-3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience that has equipped the applicant with the competencies, knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the position. Experience in a human services/non-profit organizational setting a plus. Experience with applicant tracking systems; experience with ADP Workforce Now a plus. Qualifications: Enjoys and works effectively in culture of collaboration, ongoing change, commitment to racial equity, diversity and inclusion. Familiar with a wide variety of sourcing avenues. Demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative working relationships . Working knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods. Demonstrated track record of Strong time management skills and the ability to effectively work with competing priorities. Ability to handle confidential information and exercise discretion. Problem-solving and taking initiative. Commitment to ethical practices and sound judgement. Excellent communication and people skills. Accuracy, thoroughness, and quality of work. Strong team-orientation and flexible approach to work. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint; High degree of digital fluency using cloud-based office tools such as SharePoint and other web-based applications; Working knowledge of applicant tracking and HRIS systems.
