Bar 'Cino Brookline is looking for a Sous Chef to join the
team.Newport Restaurant Group introduces our newest venture in the
Boston market: Bar 'Cino Watertown! Bar 'Cino (we say "chee-no") is
an informal neighborhood spot dedicated to making our guests feel
welcome. We feature a casual Italian-inspired menu and a
thoughtfully selected wine and cocktail list. We are the to go
place for fun and great food! Bar 'Cino is proud to be part of the
Newport Restaurant Group!About the POSITION: The Sous Chef will be
part of a passionate culinary team and will work with the Executive
Chef to oversee and lead the daily operations. This is a full-time
position that will work out of Bar 'Cino Brookline until Bar 'Cino
Watertown is open.About YOU: You have a passion for cooking,
ingredients, and technique. This position is perfect for a
motivated individual with management and interpersonal
skills.Essential Duties:Daily management of kitchen operations and
coordination of all kitchen activities including private
diningDaily monitoring of prep production and quality checks of all
mise en place prior to serviceEnsures a quality guest experience
through oversight of employees preparing and cooking foodOngoing
development and of BOH employees and kitchen supervisory
positionsAssist with inventory and purchasing/storageProduction of
daily specialsQualifications:Must have flexible schedule to work
during days, nights, weekends, and some holidays as neededA minimum
of 2 years of previous experience as a Sous Chef in a full-service
establishment.Skills & Abilities:Strong leadership, interpersonal
and communication skillsMust be able to stand for long periods of
timeAbility to lift and move 25-50 poundsBe collaborative, using a
team approach to creating an equitable workplace environment and
have respectful working relationshipsCompensation and
Benefits:Competitive compensation - $55,000 - $67,000 / year
