Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Occupational Health (Boston, MA)

Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Occupational Health in Boston, MA (02118). 26-week assignment, Monday-Friday, competitive locum tenens pay, no weekends. Join a leading medical center's employee health and occupational medicine team to manage work-related injuries, pre-placement screenings, vaccinations, and infectious exposure follow-up.

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,970 - $3,180 (competitive locum tenens compensation)
• Location: Boston, MA (02118)
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• Shift Duration: 8 hours per day
• Hours per Week: 40
• Assignment Length: 26 weeks (July 6, 2026 - January 2, 2027)
• Time Off: No weekends or major holidays required

• Minimum 1 year of occupational health or occupational medicine experience required
• Board certified Nurse Practitioner (NP)
• Current Massachusetts NP license or eligibility to obtain (including controlled substance license/registration)

• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and computer skills
• Passion for clinical excellence, patient safety, and workplace health

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat work-related injuries, illnesses, and exposures in an occupational health setting under a remote medical director
• Perform pre-placement and return-to-work screenings and assessments for new hires and employees
• Administer vaccines and provide vaccine counseling per occupational health protocols
• Provide clinical guidance and post-exposure management following infectious disease exposures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote employee safety and workplace health initiatives
• Manage cases, coordinate follow-up care, and document clinical encounters in the electronic health record
• Demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and efficient workload prioritization
