Compensation: $ 47.95 - $59.45 per hour, based on adjunct faculty
rank (determined by education and experience) Position Overview:
NHTI is seeking qualified applicants who are interested in working
as clinical faculty in the hospital setting. Course Details: Course
Name : Hospital Clinic (PEM-194) Credits : 5 Lecture Hours : 0
Lab/Practicum Hours : 224 (expected availability 8-24 hours/week
over 6-9 weeks) Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7:00am – 3:00 pm,
mid-May through mid-July Locations : Southern New Hampshire Medical
Center, Nashua, NH or Concord Hospital, Concord, NH Course
Description: Comprehensive hospital experience that focuses on
medical theory, patient assessments, treatment modalities (skills),
and affective behaviors expected of a paramedic. A minimum of 224
hospital hours is required. Key Responsibilities: Oversee students
in the hospital setting, over a wide range of clinical rotations
(ED, OR, ICU, IV, L&D, RT, cath lab, pediatrics, etc.) Evaluate
students in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and
affective (behavior) learning domains and relay insights to the
clinical site lead and/or clinical coordinator after (or during)
each shift Interface with clinical preceptors (hospital staff) to
offer training/support and to ensure strong teamwork between
student and preceptor Review/critique students’ clinical
documentation – both on paper and electronic Maintain professional
currency in the field and comply with college policies and
standards Minimum Qualifications: Education : Minimum education is
an associate degree. Current licensure as a paramedic, nurse,
advanced-care provider (APRN, PA, MD/OD). Experience : Current
employment as a medical practitioner. Preference for education
experience. Residency : Must reside in NH, VT, ME, MA, RI, or CT.
