Registered Nurse (RN) | Telemetry Location: Portsmouth, NH Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,249 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Registered Nurse license required Certifications: ASLS, BLS Must-Have: Proficient in telemetry Description: This position is on a cardiac medical unit. The unit is a cardiac step-down unit with a focus on medical/surgical telemetry and stroke overflow patients. We do not accept patients post-cardiac catheterization unless a radial artery was used. The patient population includes those with chest pain, congestive heart failure, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The role involves cardiac management, chest tubes, high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, thoracentesis, peritoneal dialysis, tracheostomy care, pacemaker management, cardiac catheterization, and CIWA assessments. The unit has a total of 20 beds. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 5:1. Staffing includes a team of 4 RNs, a clinical nurse coordinator, 2 licensed nursing assistants, and a unit clerk. We utilize various equipment including IV pumps, Sara Steady lifts, high-flow, BiPAP, and Kangaroo pumps. Documentation is performed using the Meditech Expanse system. Scheduling requires 3 twelve-hour shifts per week and working every other weekend or a 4-week shift rotation. Floating policies are in place to ensure optimal patient care. Patient experience includes bedside shift rounds and handoff communication. The unit holds certifications as a STEMI hospital, a stroke center, and a Level II trauma center. Advanced skills such as thoracentesis, peritoneal dialysis, tracheostomy care, pacemaker management, cardiac catheterization, and CIWA assessments are required. Professional attire is expected as per dress code policies. Unit-specific policies and guidelines can be provided upon request.
