Destination Sport Experiences - Marathon Tours & TravelThis role is hybrid and based in our Boston office; you must live within a commutable distance.For initial training period (up to 6 months) the position will be office based.Destination Sport Experiences, through its' global sports travel brands Marathon Tours & Travel, HYROX, Sportive Breaks, and Tri Travel caters for those who want to participate in the very best endurance events across the world. Marathon Tours & Travel, HYROX, Sportive Breaks and Tri Travel offer tours, travel packages, and guaranteed entry to endurance events around the world, together with VIP hospitality access to many of the top professional cycling events as well as managing travel programs for mass participation events.
Due to an exciting year of growth at Marathon Tours & Travel in Boston, we are now looking for a Contracting and Partnership Managerto join our growing Boston team who will be responsible for developing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with hotels, hotel brands and International Tour Partners both domestically and internationally. This challenging position is perfect for a client centric travel professional experienced inhotel contracting, with the ability to be aproactive andcollaborative team member.This is a varied, fluid and hands-on role. Responsibilities will include the following:

• Negotiate hotel and other vendor contracts to ensure we have the most competitive rates and benefits.
• Create new and manage existing hotel relationships.
• Regularly review existing contracts to ensure we are receiving the best rates in the market.
• Be responsible for inventory setup and sales for hotel only packages.
• Run rooming list reports, check for accuracy and communicate to hotels.
• Manage Health and Safety reporting to ensure hotels and vendors agree to comply with required standards.
• Own the operational delivery of key assigned events.
• Exceed client expectations through the delivery of high-standard programs by offering, professional and on-time/on-budget delivery.
• Assist Trip Designers in managing their hotel relationships.
• Review processes for inventory set up, management and reporting.
• Collaborate with global team members to seamlessly execute on events.
• Monitor the sales position and suggest appropriate course of action depending upon the position.
• Identify and develop new revenue growth opportunities and partnerships.
• Develop, manage and grow key tour partner relationships.
  To be successful within this role, our ideal candidate will:
  • Have a Hospitality & Tourismor business-related degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Have a passion for our core offering of endurance sport in the travel industry (highlight advantageous).
  • Have 2+ years' experience within the hotel industry, with:
  • Strong capabilities in writing proposals and contracts.
  • Experience evaluating hotel contracts and negotiating mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Success developing relationships with existing and potential clients and partners, resulting in financial or other benefits to the organization.
    • Be organized & detail orientated with the ability to work on multiple projects.
    • Possess strong client-service and vendor management orientation along with solid interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
    • Can professionally and effectively represent Marathon Tours & Travel on the phone, in face-to-face interaction and be comfortable with public speaking.
    • Be able to understand and follow internal business processes, recommending and deploying improvements where possible.
      • Work as a team player to establish business processes and meet team goals.
      • Have proven track record of developing new business opportunities.
      • Have working knowledge and experience with Microsoft packages (Word, Excel & Outlook).
      • Experience with Passkey would be highly advantageous but is not required.
      • Be able to travel domestically and internationally on an ad hoc basis, when required.
