IILocation: Lexington, MAAbout the role:
- Provide complete oversight, leadership and vision for the 3PL
Distribution and Logistics function.
- Coordinate the order management and logistics activities at a
Third-party logistics providers.
- Solutions focused by considering courses of action within the
framework of organization goals and standards.
- Operate and once given general assignments, prioritize and
complete tasks.How you will contribute:
- Lead logistics projects ensuring timelines are met, budgets are
met and compliance to regulations
- Educate and consult with internal and external partners to
increase service levels, meet expectations, and encourage open
communications through developing trusting relationships.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement through
important analysis.
- Coordinate routine operational meetings to address current
challenges, on time performance, accuracy, project status.
- Support the business through ad-hoc queries, and maintain
reports from a variety of resources as specific to department or
organizational needs.
- Estimate W&D (Warehouse & Distribution) accruals and
support month end financial close for regional W&D costs.
Develop cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models.
- Support SAP interfaces by managing for IDOC failures
- Lead and implement programs to achieve improvements,
independently.
- Maintain distribution, transportation, and warehouse budgetary
goals
- Act Designated Representative (DR) for Takeda legal entities to
support state Board of Pharmacy state
licensing.Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise
- Understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain processes &
functions
- Understanding of distribution processes
- Good Supply Chain systems knowledge (SAP, BI,...)
- Experience with OpUs and commercial procedures
- Very good understanding of GDP requirements (GDP: Good
Distribution Practices)
- Support process standardization & harmonization on a local
level
- Work with Operating Units (OpUs), commercial departments,
Global Quality and business (procurement, finance, IT, legal,
)
- Must be effective at communicating at all levels of the
organization and be able to coach/direct the activities of
others.
- Project management skills.Decision-making and Autonomy
- Authorized to make routine purchases of needed supplies and
warehouse repairs.
- Capability to analyze issues and to prepare recommendations for
change
- Establish workload priorities and balance across available
resources.Interaction
- USSCC: Support escalated D&L issues resolution
- GDP QUALITY: solve issues, support understanding / agreement on
requirements & processes
- GSCE: Provide input for performance management. on CSLe and
warehousing COE/capability building
- GD&L: escalate D&L issues and risk
- Regional Commercial: Ensure understanding on important
requirements, new product launch execution.
- GSCSS: work with BPLs on logistics and order to billing
concepts and tactics including inputs on IT requirements on systems
solutions (SAP, BI)
- Trading entities: support understanding / agreement on
requirements and processes for intercompany orders management of
principal structures
- Suppliers /Procurement: Ensure implementation and use of
transport/logistics/distribution procurement standards & procedures
and monitor selection of suppliers in scope.Innovation
- Contribute thought, background, and skills in distribution and
warehousing excellence, applying logistics services to enhance the
customers experience, improve process excellence and improve SC
responsiveness
- Identify, recommend and deploy new ways to reduce overall
Takeda carbon footprint & support Takeda's sustainability

- Capability to manage within a team with both
responsibility
- Good capability to find pragmatic solutions and align/influence
partnersWhat you bring to Takeda:Essential:
- Bachelor's degree; Business, Supply Chain, Finance or
Engineering
- 4 or more years of relevant industry experience in Supply Chain
Distribution and Logistics management including controlled
temperature (cold-chain) logistics of cGMP regulated materials
- Manage partners across levels & across countries
- SAP ERP experience
- Network and building relationships
- Lead with conviction and confidenceDesired:
- Master degree preferred. MS / MBA
- APICS Certification

we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role,
you may:
- Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and
wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body.
This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
- Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail
polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing
environment.
- Work in a cold, wet environment.
- Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work
supplemental hours, as necessary.
- Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and
