An Early Childhood Special Education Teacher position is available in a vibrant Pre-K center serving approximately 300 students. This role involves working in a substantially separate classroom with nine students and two paraprofessionals. The student population includes children with varying disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), developmental delays (DD), and other special needs. The classroom operates with two daily sessions: a morning session from 8:15 AM to 10:00 AM and an afternoon session from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM. The successful candidate will have direct responsibility for supporting and educating these young learners, utilizing specialized instructional strategies tailored to their unique needs. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student - Collaborate with paraprofessionals and other staff to facilitate inclusive, supportive learning environments - Monitor student progress and adapt instructional methods accordingly - Communicate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams - Maintain accurate records and comply with all relevant regulations Qualifications and Experience: - Certification as a Special Education Teacher - Experience working with preschool-aged children with special needs, especially in ASD and developmental delays - Strong knowledge of early childhood special education principles and best practices - Ability to manage a classroom of varying abilities with compassion and professionalism - Excellent communication and teamwork skills Location: Lynn, MA Employment Type: Contract through the end of the school year, with an ASAP start date Benefits: - Weekly pay - Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage - 401(k) retirement plan options This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young childrens lives within a supportive and resource-rich environment.
