Job Description Job Description Job Summary: This full-time, temporary Intern will support the Specialized Banking Team at Needham Bank - Medford. The SBC Intern will be introduced to our procedures for customer identification, onboarding and relationship management to promote vertical and horizontal portfolio growth and profitability for the SBC. The Intern will work closely with the SBC Team on daily tasks and will focus on several projects to assist the SBC Business Development and Compliance and Operations Teams to create efficiencies and enhance operational integrity. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Partner with SBC Business Development, Compliance and Operations and Product Team on key projects to promote efficiencies, program growth, client experience and compliance readiness Partner with SBC Business Development Team in leveraging available public resources to identify and connect with prospects Participate in introductory conversations with prospects and relationship review conversations with existing clients to promote client experience, compliance and profitability Introductory education within, but not limited to, the scope of emerging market banking, Cannabis, Money Service Businesses and other high-risk business' regulatory, compliance, legal and lending arenas and work with team members to communicate with clients on a variety of topics Perform additional duties as requested, needed or assigned JOB REQUIREMENTS Ability to work independently with some guidance from team members Flexibility to work on different projects and tasks as needed Ability to work within a team and foster effective inter-departmental partnerships Prioritize work product in order to meet varying deadlines Curiosity and willingness to learn new things and take on new tasks Highly motivated and can handle multiple tasks Demonstrate and promote high ethical standards and behaviors Strong customer service and problem-solving skills Maintain a professional manner at all times Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and writing skills Strong presentation skills Ability and willingness to travel locally as needed Adapts to change and ability to manage fast paced environment Strong computer and technical skills Ability to adhere to Needham Bank's Core Values (Focus on Customer Relationship, Embrace Change, Work as a Team, Be an Asset to Your Community, Always Learn, and Do the Right Thing) EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Pursuit of Bachelor's and/or Graduate degree in Business, Finance or related field Entry level knowledge of business environment Interest in Banking preferred PAY RANGE: $20.00/hourly At NB, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace - if you are excited about this role, but your experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we still encourage you to apply.
