competitive spirit, matched by none.Job DescriptionThe Client
Service & Specimen Collection Specialist is responsible for
in-office direct customer service and collecting biological
specimens at DDC's satellite locations for the purpose of
conducting scientific testing. Duties will include maintaining the
integrity of the collection process, maintaining records for
reporting purposes, customer support via phone, email, chat, text
message, and in-person. This position reports to the Satellite
Office Supervisor and is essential to support our local customer
base. This individual will perform basic DNA swab collections
locally and forward the sample to DDC headquarters in Ohio for
testing. This individual is solely responsible for the day-to-day
operations of the office.Duties & Responsibilities:--- Performs
specimen processing procedures in a satellite office under minimal
supervision--- Able to explain and promote DDC's products and
services professionally--- Collects specimens from patients of all
age groups--- Labels each specimen completely, accurately and
legibly--- Cheek swab DNA collections and assisting customers in
the completion of Chain of Custody forms--- Packages specimens as
required by protocol to maintain specimen integrity for transport
to the appropriate laboratory.--- Answer phone calls, emails, fax,
and chat requests in a timely and courteous manner--- Develops and
maintains professional relationships with patients, and clients---
Performs all tasks in accordance with laboratory procedures and
policies--- Maintains appropriate inventory levels to ensure that
specimens can be collected as required, all clerical duties can be
performed, and the collection site can be kept clean.--- Follows
compliance guidelines to meet HIPAA standards--- Find solutions to
resolve customer issues--- Analyze customer problems properly and
provide logical solutions.--- Identify and escalate priority issues
when necessary--- Adhere to compliance regulations and policies---
Stays organized and keeps detailed notes of sales touches both over
the phone and in person--- Research required information using
available resources--- Other duties as assignedQualifications---
High School Diploma--- Bilingual, English/Spanish a plus--- One (1)
to two (2) years of experience in call center or customer
service--- Ability to type 75-80 wpm--- Proficient in relevant
computer applications--- Collaborate and work effectively with
others--- Results driven, able to maintain and sustain company
goals--- Excellent customer service skillsAdditional
